The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is popularly known as GATE. There are only Multiple Choice Questions in the paper. All the questions have four alternative answers but only one of them is correct. You have to darken the circle corresponding to your answer on the OMR sheet. The paper is of a total of 150 marks. The questions are divided in the following groups.

The first group consists of questions 1 to 20. All of them carry 1 mark each. Thus this group carries 20 marks.
